Robert Watchorn
The Abraham Lincoln Library The buildings around, the Church, Park and surrounding houses were built around 1940 by the Robert Watchorn Trust and donated to Alfreton Town.
Robert Watchorn, a local miners son.
aged 22 emigrated to America where he made his fortunes in oil and steel.
Since 1972 The Free Masons of Alfreton have been the proud custodians of his legacy.
